Frequently asked questions
What does the free water test involve?
We come to your home and test your water at no cost. The test identifies the specific issues in your water — contaminants, hard water, and taste and odor problems — so our recommendations are based on your actual water, not guesswork.
Is the water test really free?
Yes. The water test is free, and so is the professional installation of the system you choose.
What is the difference between filtration and softening?
Filtration targets chlorine, chemicals and odors. Softening removes the hardness minerals that leave spots, scale and soap scum. The Complete Home Softener & Filtration System does both; the Carbon Only Water Filter does filtration without softening.
Do I need a softener if I am on city water?
Not always. Some city-water homes only need carbon filtration to target chlorine, chemicals and odors. If your water is hard as well, softening protects your plumbing, fixtures and appliances from scale build-up. Your free water test tells us which you need.
What is reverse osmosis and why add it?
A reverse osmosis system is an under-sink unit that pushes water through a high-rejection membrane to remove Total Dissolved Solids, heavy metals, microplastics, PFAs and other impurities, then remineralizes it with an alkaline stage so it tastes great. It gives you pure drinking water at the kitchen tap for drinking, cooking and ice.
How much does a system cost?
Our Complete Home Water Package is $2,999 everything included: the whole home water filtration system installed, plus a reverse osmosis drinking water system and its professional installation at no extra cost. One flat price, no hidden fees and no add-ons.
What warranty comes with the system?
Every system we install is backed by a lifetime warranty on system dry parts, a 5-year warranty on the control valve, circuit board and filtration media, and a 1-year labor warranty. Manufacturer-backed coverage includes storage tanks and media tanks (lifetime), ceramic discs and rotary valves (lifetime), control valves (5 years), filtration media (5 years) and reverse osmosis systems (1 year).
How is the system maintained?
Systems are built for low maintenance with long-lasting media. Skyway Water provides ongoing service after installation, including maintenance of filtration media, membranes and system components, and we install and maintain everything according to manufacturer guidelines so your warranty stays valid.
Do you work with townhome communities and HOAs?
Yes. We serve residential homeowners and townhome communities, including townhome associations and HOAs looking to improve water quality across multiple homes.
Which areas do you serve?
Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, Sarasota, Parrish and Palmetto, and we are also happy to serve the Tampa and St. Petersburg areas.
